Ballet is a performing art developed over hundreds of years, dating back to the early renaissance period. It began with minimal foot patterns that later transformed into what is now known as dancing en pointe, or on the tips of the toes.
Ballet is both a disciplined art and sport mixed into one that improves coordination of the muscles to create beautiful and elegant lines while also developing critical thinking skills and spatial awareness. Ballet movements are long and linear but also soft and graceful. Artists in Motion teaches students the most popular forms of ballet, including classical and contemporary, which have distinct differences.
